We are filled with joy, excitement, and anticipation for the upcoming school year. Although construction of our new, state-of-the-art building is coming along beautifully, our timeline for the Certificate of Occupancy has been delayed. We need the Certificate of Occupancy to start the school year, and if the certificate of occupancy is further delayed we do not want to put you in the position of being notified at the end of next week. We want to be as proactive and transparent in our communication as possible.
Because of this our first day of school will be on September 14th. Our first week schedule will be:
- Wednesday, September 14 – Half-Day (12 o’clock dismissal)
- Thursday, September 15 – Half Day (12 o’clock dismissal)
- Friday, September 16 – Full Day (3 pm dismissal)
If this change creates an undue hardship for you, please reach out to us and we will work with you to find or create a solution.
As always, our primary concerns are the safety of our children and the protection of their academic time and academic progress. With this delay to accommodate the new timeline and ensure the safety of our children, we will be as vigilant and determined as ever in ensuring their growth. We’re bringing in a variety of new resources this year, launching Seton Blended Learning, and extending our academic year to June 23rd to make up for lost time. Attached is our academic calendar for the year, which you’ll reflects our dedication and zeal for student learning.
We know you are as excited as we are about the opportunities ahead. Because we share in your excitement, we want to invite you in to celebrate so we can share with you the plan for the next phases of renovation. On Thursday, September 8th at 10am, please join us for coffee so we can tell you more about the renovation plan and timeline, and so we can answer any questions you have. Be among the first to know when our auditorium will be unveiled!
We’ve been blessed with this building, an exciting state-of-the-art facility, and we want to make sure everything is ready to set us up for years to come. We will continue to update you with more details about opening day, but we wanted to get this to you as quickly as possible.
- School will start on September 14th .
- Contact us if this creates a hardship and we will help.
- We will add days to the end of our school year to make up learning.
Ultimately, we will use this to our advantage, becoming even more prepared for the school year and ready to support you, your students, and this great work we do together! A delay to lay ground work for many years of greatness will all be worth it in the end!
As always, we know that “together we are better”. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas do not hesitate to contact us.
